Rob in the Hood

Para la asignatura "Guión y Narrativa" desarrollé con mi equipo una novela visual, adaptación del clásico literario "Robin Hood" (la versión original), siendo nuestro protagonista "Facundo", un chico de bajos recursos y una vida muy difícil del barrio de LaFerrere.

Si bien es una demo a la que le falta pulido, logramos plasmar una historia interesante y con una arquitectura de visual novel muy fácil de escalar y adaptable. Yo fui el encargado de crear el sistema por el que uno agrega fácilmente desde el editor escenas, textos, sprites, decisiones, etc, utilizando ScriptableObjects; y programé todos los controladores de escenas, barra de texto, sprites, etc.

SINOPSIS

En las desoladas calles de Laferrere, Facundo crece bajo el amoroso cuidado de su madre María, quien, a pesar de las adversidades, le brinda una infancia llena de cariño y sacrificio. Tras la trágica muerte de su madre, Facundo se ve obligado a enfrentar solo las oscuras realidades de su entorno desde muy pequeño, resistiendo la tentación de la delincuencia mientras lucha por mantener vivo el legado de integridad y dignidad que su madre le enseñó. En un viaje marcado por la adversidad y la lucha interna, Facundo se embarca en una búsqueda de identidad y redención, encontrando fuerza en el amor de su madre y la esperanza de un futuro mejor en medio de la desesperación de un barrio desfavorecido.

For the subject "Scriptwriting and Narrative," my team and I developed a visual novel, an adaptation of the literary classic "Robin Hood" (the original version), with our protagonist being "Facundo," a boy from the impoverished neighborhood of LaFerrere who has had a very difficult life.

While it is a demo that needs some polishing, we managed to create an interesting story with a very scalable and adaptable visual novel architecture. I was responsible for creating the system that allows easy addition of scenes, texts, sprites, decisions, etc., from the editor using ScriptableObjects; and I programmed all the scene controllers, text bar, sprites, etc.

SYNOPSIS

In the desolate streets of LaFerrere, Facundo grows up under the loving care of his mother María, who, despite all adversities, provides him with a childhood filled with love and sacrifice. After the tragic death of his mother, Facundo is forced to face the harsh realities of his environment alone from a very young age, resisting the temptation of crime while striving to keep alive the legacy of integrity and dignity his mother taught him. In a journey marked by adversity and internal struggle, Facundo embarks on a quest for identity and redemption, finding strength in his mother's love and hope for a better future amidst the despair of a disadvantaged neighborhood.
